Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
Oh, the hijinks! Halloween and otherwaywise! Total Garashir fan and Cardassiaphile here. Adore the O’Brien family and those of the family of Quark: Quark, Rom, Nog.
Love family feels and explorations of the Wider World (a.k.a. Supernatural Goodness above and beyond what we find in the everyday Waking World around us). Love respect-full interactions between different species and the sometimes bumpy road it takes to get to that respect.
Possible Prrrompts

🌟 Odo and Lwaxana – what if they made it work? What would that look like? How would it have happened? How would it continue?
🌟 Garashir – what if this happens during the timeframe of the series? What would that look like? How would it change things – and not? What if things were different – and how would they be different? - for there to be friendship between Garashir and Tain? Garashir and Dukat? Garashir and both? What do Garak and Bashir need to do/understand differently to make their cross-species relationship work? What do they need to do/understand the same?
🌟 The Fab Four, a.k.a. Julian Bashir’s loves. Tell me a tale of the friendship between Bashir and Dax and Garak and O’Brien. What does that look like? Is there a circumstance (and if so, what?) In Which, the four of them would be seen together voluntarily – or not? Why or why not?
🌟 Elim Garak – I’ve always thought, after reading ASiT, that ‘air man’ was a name for someone psychically-aware. So, tell me a tale of a time when Garak knew something he could not have known with just the ordinary five senses. Or any tale where Garak is being his amazingly competent self – as either tailor or Order Operative, take your pick.

I love me some Original Work. I’d love a tale from any of these characters/ships or any combination you and your Mewses might feel inspired by.
Feeling like there is Too Much Goodness to give specific prrrompts, so will give a bit of the general instead.
I love tales of the Wider World beyond our own. I love tales of the magickal, the fantastic, the happily mysterious. Tales of different species getting along with respect, maybe even love. Tales of the problems along the road to that respect, and how those problems are respectfully (and hopefully successfully) addressed.
I love object and concept anthropomorphism. Tales of the personhood between otherwise inanimate things and places.
Little Red Riding Hood
I saw this and was intrigued by the possibilities. What does it mean for there to be love between Red and the Wolf or Red and the Huntsman? Or… both? What is the backstory of Red? The huntsman? How did they end up where they are and in the situation they do?
Bewitched (TV)
One of my favorite episodes of the show was where Darrin drew a stereotypical warty old witch for a Halloween campaign and Samantha called him out on it.
And he listened.
He learned.
He made another ad.
He stood up and defended his changing of the campaign to his boss and the other executives at the ad agency.
Successfully.
I cheered.
I cried.
I remember that episode to this day.
So, if it calls to you, tell me a similar tale of when one of the witches faces prejudice from the humans – and how they are defended. Do they defend themselves? Does Darrin play the hero once more? Is it a family-wide affair with all of them educating those around them?
DC’s Arrowverse
I admit, my main contact with this is the first three and a bit seasons of ‘Arrow’ and a couple of seasons of ‘Flash’.
But I have always loved Quentin Lance – even if it was often in spite of himself. And Oliver Queen the same.
So perhaps tell me a tale of their relationship. Father and son. Sworn officer of the law and sworn vigilante. Sire of daughters and lover of daughters.
How do they complete each other with their differences? How do they lose and find each other along their way?
Considering what May is like in Starling (one of my few enjoyed points of Breaking the Fourth Wall was Lance’s complaint about ‘the city is under attack, it must be May’ or words to that effect.), what’s October and Halloween like? It can be quite the Silly Season for us here in our world. What’s it like for them there? Either of them behind the mask or in front of the mask or some combination of the two would be loverly.
due South
Diefenbaker is one smart canine. His dog actors were too. Dogs see much further in to the Wider World that we humans do – and are a lot less fussed by it.
Tell me a tale of a time when Diefenbaker notices something that the humans don’t and what happens next. Does he sense a ghostly energy and the humans help? Does he notice someone in need of help that the humans overlook? Something or somebody else?
MASH
I’ve always resonated with Hawkeye a lot. Probably why, as I grow older, I find my favorites becoming the quieter ones, the ones who do good in less flamboyant ways – Klinger, Father Mulcahy.
As someone who’s had to do a lot of growing herself to overcome an extremely small upbringing, I salute Winchester even more for being willing and able to overcome his own prejudices and grow. The place where he smashes the record in the finale, after the musicians are killed? Makes me cry every time to this day.
And Freedman!!!! Oh, if we had people like him in the psychiatric profession, the world would be a much better place. He’s been a favorite character of mine through the years – I only wish we had more episodes with him in!!!!
All to say, I love the found family here. Tell me a story of that. Papa Colonel Potter, his various ‘sons’ and ‘daughters’. Of Father Mulcahy and his quiet, determined way to better the world by and with his faith – and his tolerance and understanding that, as beloved as his faith and his God and his Saviour are to him – they are not the only ones out there, and that is blessed too.
Cross all of that with the time of Halloween, if you’d like. Is there a form of the Christmas miracle, where the man they thought dead was only cold and unconscious? Does a ghost – there would be so many – come to someone at the 4077th with a message for one of them to pass along?
Include any/all of the chosen characters/ships as calls to you! Tho’ I must add – likely due to the time in my life I first encountered this show, I see the relationships here as being het., so no m/m for this one, please/ty.
As ever, the story that calls to you, that is a delight for you to write, is the one I’d adore the most.
The Muppet Show
I love this show so much! From the first time I saw the first-run show (yes, I am that old) to whatever I’ve been able to see of the newer ones, it’s all lovely.
I’m a bit of a theater-bird myself, so the show-behind the show only fascinates me the more as I grow older.
Again, I can see a crossing with Halloween going very nicely here. Many theaters have their ghosts – I can see theirs as no exception. What is their ghost(s) like? Who sees them? Who does not?
Is there a Halloween episode of the show? What happens?
Any or all of the nominated and chosen characters are welcome! As ever, write the story that pleases you the most.
Ghosts (American Telly)
This is a recent love. Irl, I am interested in ghosts and the paranormal, have had my own expurriences with same, so when the show was announced, I had to watch to see how well/badly they did.
And while there are many differences between the show and offline life – as there would be – still, it is a fun and respect-full show that I highly enjoy watching!
Again, I adore the found family here. Both between the ghosts themselves and between the ghosts and the living humans.
Purrhaps a story of that?
Something crossed with Halloween makes sense here too. How would their furrst Halloween since the B&B is opened go? What hijinks would happen? Would a new ghost(s) show up and how would that be? What would happen next?
As a singer myself, I resonate with Alberta, tho’ as a white woman, I’ve not faced the same challenges. Tell me a tale of her and her singing and love of music. Does she perform for the other ghosts? Has she been heard singing by the living since she died?
I have fewer thoughts here, but know that I love this as much as any of my other requests. As ever, the story you’d find a joy to write is the best one to write.

As I said under ‘Original Work’, I love object and concept anthropomorphism. Tales of the personhood between otherwise inanimate things and places.
🌟 Teddy Bear - I’ve had my share of beloved Stuffed Purrsonnel over the years, so the teddy bear calls out to me. Tell me a tale of a beloved bear. Do they become Real one Hallow’s Eve? Or does a child (or adult) clutch them when Halloween (or life) becomes too scary?
🌟 Walled Garden – a place between. What does that look like? Do people come there and celebrate the Old Ways in peace and privacy? Is it a witch’s garden? Or simply a beloved one? Or… was it and it is now abandoned. Or found again?
🌟 The Denizens of our Solar System – any of them you wish to write about. I am a Solar-powered Avian, so the Sun always calls to me.
🌟 Computer – we’ve all had those days of blessing and of bane with our silicon friends. Tell me a tale of one of them - purrhaps crossed with Halloween hijnks?
🌟 Jewels – Like a Proper Raven, I adore the Sparkly Goodness!!!! Tell me a tale of a Pretty Sparkly (respect-fully harvested, please. No blood diamonds here.) - what is it? Who found it/cut it/polished it? Where is it now and why? Or is it still in the ground, waiting to be found (or deliberately hiding?)
🌟 Haunted House – as I’ve mentioned elsewhere, I’ve had my share of paranormal experiences. What would the house look like? Who use to live there (if anyone)? What is the house’s story? Why is it haunted?
